Due to living in an apartment my shack is really tiny. Especially the antenna setup is quite tricky and requires always new ideas. Fortunately I am in the last story of the building so I can use my balcony with some space up to the sky.
The Radios
YEASU FT 991A
This radio is my main radio for stationary use. I like it very well and actually the handling is quite intuitive to me.
YAESU FT 818 ND
Used for my mobile and portable activities. Very handy small and compact. Finds place in every backpack.
The Antennas
ATAS 120A
Actually an antenna designed for mobile use. But due to my limited space it’s kind of an alternative for me which can be mounted to the balustrade when needed and thanks to it’s internal coil and automatic tuner it’s easily useable for several band.
Space is limited. I can go up a little next to the roof. Not ideal but works.
The Workbench
